Taxis are never far away and link Orly Airport with the main districts of Paris (arrondissements), such as the centrally located Île de la Cité, the enormous La Défense business district, and the densely populated Rive Droite, home to the Bastille area. TGV High Speed Trains run between the onsite Orlyval Station and the Gare du Nord, making several stops along the way. Many travellers flying into this exciting French capital choose to cover themselves against potential travel problems by taking out Paris travel insurance when booking their flight, ensuring peace of mind during their stay.
About Paris Tourism
The capital of France lies around the River Seine and contains many of the country's most iconic landmarks and buildings, such as the Notre Dame cathedral and the Eiffel Tower itself. Paris is known worldwide for its arts scene, fashion industry and history, and is the most-visited city in the world, regularly attracting more than 30 millions tourists every year. Travellers arriving in the city by train will find that the Gare du Nord station is home to a useful tourist office, where hotels can be arranged free of charge. The most central accommodation certainly comes at a price, with Paris apartments and hotels residing within the Louvre and Les Halles area being rather desirable, especially around the Place Vendôme. Other vibrant areas of the city include Ile de la Cite, the Latin Quarter, Marais, Montparnasse and the Opéra, as well as the Champs Élysées, where views of the majestic Arc de Triomphe are likely.
Orly Airport (ORY) offer excellent access to Paris and its many outstanding attractions. Be sure to look out for the Moulin Rouge, the colourful Montmartre district, the Arc de Triomphe, the elegant Place de la Concorde, and the outlying Disneyland Resort park.
